Skiing in the Dolomites and surrounding areas

During winter the Ahrntal Valley ski resorts and Speikboden are ideal for our guests who love skiing in the Dolomites.

15km cross-country skiing is also on offer in the Ahrntal Valley and around the village of Lappach. For alpine skiing, our ski shuttle departs daily for the nearby Speikboden ski resort and does the return run in the evening. Our guests can also leave their car in the safety of our private hotel car park.

Speikboden ski resort with its seven ski lifts and miles of pistes for all ability levels is perfect for everyone and well-suited to families and groups. And there's one really big advantage: on the southern slopes of the Zillertal Alps one can be as certain of snow as one can of sunshine - nothing at all to stand in the way of a superb ski holiday in South Tirol!

Find out the convenience of skiing in the Ahrntal Valley by renting skis directly at the hotel thanks to the in-house service of the Rinsbacherhof dedicated to our guests!

Summer in Lappach: hiking and trekking in the Dolomites

During summer Hotel Rinsbacherhof is a well-loved base for hiking in the Dolomites while the three "3000ers" that tower over the nearby Never Stausee reservoir attract many mountaineering and climbing groups too.

At the Rieserferner-Ahr nature reserve you can find hiking and mountaineering trails and rock climbing challenges to suit all ability levels. This is always popular with families and sports-orientated youth groups.

On one of the "3000ers" that is linked to the Lappacher Stausee reservoir, trekking in the Dolomites tours are on offer. And here too there is something for everyone - the offer extends from simple walks between mountain refuges to summit attempts at 3000m.

Adventure Excursions are particularly attractive for groups visiting the Ahrntal Valley:

There's rafting and canyoning on offer - all under the careful guidance of an experienced local instructor. In nearby Sand in Taufers there are also a numerous rope-climbing parks for those keen to conquer their fears. And real adventure freaks will be thrilled by the two high rope courses in Tauferer Ahrntal Valley!

And don't miss the summer toboggan run Klausberg which is an experience for young and old!
